What is the role of a mediator?
The mediator’s role is to remain neutral, facilitate constructive discussion, and help both parties explore options for agreement. They do not offer legal advice or take sides.

How Much Does Mediation Cost?
The cost of mediation depends on the complexity of the issues and the number of sessions needed. During your MIAM, we will provide clear details of the cost, so that you can make an informed decision.

Who pays for mediation in the UK?
Costs may be shared or agreed between the parties. In some cases, legal aid can cover the cost of mediation.

I have had an accident and left the scene, should I go to the police?
You should make contact with the police urgently and get legal advice first. Leaving the scene can carry serious consequences, and we can coordinate contact and attend the station with you in Stoke.

I have no insurance on my car and now have to go to court, will I go to prison?
Driving without insurance is generally non-imprisonable, though the personal impact can still be significant (fines, points, costs). We will explain your options and represent you at Stoke-on-Trent Magistrates’ Court.

Do I need a solicitor at court for a motoring offence?
If you have been required to attend court, the stakes are usually high (potential disqualification or, for the most serious offences, custody). We guide you on procedure, mitigation and funding, including legal aid where available, and speak for you in court.

I am a HGV driver and have been caught speeding, what should I do?
Speak to us immediately. Whether court is required depends on the speed and circumstances, and there can be implications for your employment and future HGV licensing if you’re disqualified.

What is the maximum number of points anyone can have on their driving licence?
Totting up 12 points within three years usually triggers a minimum six-month ban, unless you prove exceptional hardship with proper evidence. New drivers face licence revocation at 6 points, which is different from a court disqualification.
