An opportunity has arisen at our Leicester office, for a Paralegal to join our Contentious Trusts and Probate and Professional Liability team.

The specialist Contentious Trusts and Probate and Professional Negligence teams are an ever growing area of the firm.
Role overview:
We are seeking a confident, motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to work alongside a Partner undertaking both Contentious Trusts and Probate work as well as Professional Negligence work. Both are Legal 500 recognised teams and the Partner whom the successful candidate will support is a highly-regarded, recognised specialist with many years of experience.
You will play a key supporting role to the Partner and team on a range of Contentious Trusts and Probate and Professional Liability matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing new client enquiries and assisting with client onboarding,
- Drafting legal documents, including where appropriate letters of claim, instructions to counsel, and witness statements,
- Preparing court and mediation bundles,
- Opening and managing legal files, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations,
- Advising on funding options and legal costs where appropriate,
- Conducting legal research on case law, procedure, and evidentiary matters.
What we are looking for:
- A degree in Law or a relevant field.
- Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar role, particularly within Contentious Trusts and Probate and / or Professional Negligence and / or general Civil Litigation would be advantageous.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professionalism.
