Solicitor/ Legal Executive - Wills and Probate - Derby

Smith Partnership is a leading law firm in the East Midlands. A forward thinking and progressive company employing over 200 staff throughout 6 offices.

An opportunity has become available for a Solicitor or experienced Legal Executive to join our Wills, Trusts & Probate Department at our Head Office in Derby. A full time candidate would be preferable but applications for part time working may be considered.

The team are looking for a confident, proactive and structured individuals, with a minimum of 2 years PQE who will be experienced in a broad range of matters, to include, but not limited to:-

Taking instructions and drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, able to deal with the administration of Estates, comfortable with the use of Trusts in the mitigation of residential home fees and used to dealing with Inheritance Tax as part of the Administration of Estates

If you are able to deal with Court of Protection matters, advise on both Inheritance Tax within estates/life planning and on Deeds of Variation that would also be advantageous.
