Muhammad Arslan
Solicitor
What I do
I specialise in criminal law, primarily representing clients in the Magistrates’ Court. My day‑to‑day work involves advising clients from the earliest stage of investigation, preparing cases for first appearances, sentencing, and trial, and ensuring that every client receives clear, realistic, and compassionate advice. I regularly liaise with the police, CPS, and court staff to progress matters efficiently and achieve the best possible outcomes. I have worked in criminal law since 2019 as a Solicitor, building hands‑on experience in fast‑paced court environments and developing strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
Case study:
I recently represented a client charged with a drink‑driving offence. After conducting a detailed review of the evidence, I identified significant procedural and evidential flaws in the prosecution case, including issues that undermined the reliability of the breath test evidence. made strong oral submissions to the CPS highlighting these defects. As a result, the prosecution agreed to withdraw the charge before trial, securing an excellent outcome for the client while maintaining full confidentiality throughout.
