What I do
I joined Smith Partnership in 2008 as a Paralegal working in the Crime department in Burton on Trent.
I successfully completed my Legal Practice Course and Training Contract with the firm and I qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 working in Burton on Trent.
I joined the Derby Crime Department in November 2019.
My role is extremely varied, covering all types of criminal law. I mainly cover cases at the Magistrates Court and Police Station in Derby, but I can often be found travelling up and down the country covering cases in Courts nationwide.
I undertake work that ranges from shoplifting and minor criminal damage right through to complex conspiracies. I pride myself in my attention to detail and ability to be able to explain complex matters in a simple manner.
What I bring to the team
I bring enthusiasm, hard work and a good eye for detail to the team.
Key interests
Away from work I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling and I am a keen martial artist.
