Role overview:
We are seeking to expand the team and are searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate or Senior Associate (we will also accept applications for Solicitor or Legal Executive roles) to join our Private Client / Wills and Probate team at Leicester. The ideal applicants will be able to work in an organised and efficient work manner, and be experienced in a broad range of matters, to include, but not limited to: -
Taking instructions and drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, able to deal with the administration of Estates, comfortable with the use of Trusts in the mitigation of residential home fees and used to dealing with Inheritance Tax as part of the Administration of Estates
This role is ideal for proactive candidates looking to advance their career in the legal field within a reputable firm.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified lawyer with a current practising or CILEX certificate in England and Wales
- Previous experience of drafting Wills and LPAs.
- Previous experience of estates.
- 2-4 years PQE, ideally within Private Client.
- An understanding of asset preservation trusts and Wills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
For the Senior Associate role:
- Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
- 10 years PQE ideally within Private Client law, although candidates with different levels of experience will be considered.
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Confident and pro-active involvement in business development activities, including networking and attending sector events.
- Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Experience of supervising team members.
- Be interested in collaborating with department members to help continue to shape the strategy and vision for the team.
