What I do

I joined Smith Partnership in November 2014 after completing my Legal Practice Course at the prestigious Nottingham Law School.

I am now a Solicitor within the Commercial Property department and service clients across the East Midlands and nationally from our Head Office at Norman House, Derby.

I advise clients on a full range of property transactions including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals as well as secured lending, but have particular expertise in complex commercial landlord and tenant matters, including Agreements for Leases, New Leases, Lease Renewals, Lease Assignments, Licences for Alterations and Deeds of Variation.

I also have experience of corporate transactional support work and more recently have expanded my portfolio within the licensing sector, acting in connection with the acquisition and disposal of both leasehold and freehold licensed premises including the sale of Goodwill and Fixtures and Fittings.

My clients include a national bespoke eyewear brand, a national digital brands, marketing and communications agency and a number of local and national charities.

I am a perfectionist (if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well as the saying goes)!

I am, in the most part, naturally quiet and studious, however, those who know me well know that I have a dry sense of humour, a love for Harry Potter, polar bears and panda bears (or anything fluffy really).

I am an East Midlands girl through and through, having been born and bred in Burton Upon Trent, studied in Nottingham and now working in Derby.

Outside of work, I enjoy long walks in the countryside with my German Shepherd, Missy. I am also a member of the National Trust.

After a challenging week at work, I enjoy nothing more than good food washed down with a large glass of Pinot Blush! I also love to travel, having recently returned from Budapest.
