What I do
I’m the Head of Risk & Compliance at Smith Partnership. I joined the firm in August 2025 after nearly 15 years of working in compliance, risk management and operations positions in firms across the UK.
I’m responsible for ensuring our business operates in full compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) regulations and other relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. I work to mitigate business risks and ensure that we work efficiently within the compliance controls required.
I also work with our service partners and suppliers to implement processes, checks and balances to ensure we are as efficient as possible in our compliance, along with utilising the latest technologies to support the growth and success of the firm.

What I bring to the team
I like to bring a calm and approachable presence to the team so they feel comfortable sharing any concerns they may have. By combining expert knowledge with a practical mindset, my focus is on providing commercially sensible solutions that support both the firm and my colleagues.
Key interests
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active and regularly take part in triathlons, sportives and running races. I also love being outdoors, whether that's hiking or exploring new places in my motorhome. Most of my free time though, is happily spent with my dog, Jackson!
