SWEET RECOGNITION FOR DEMENTIA CARE WORKERS

The solicitors of Smith Partnership might be smart cookies but, when supporting a charity's special day, they proved they don't want their cake and eat it.

In fact, they preferred to give their tasty treats away to the staff who have been looking after people with dementia during the Covid pandemic.

So, for Alzheimer's Cupcake Day, branded treats were delivered across the East Midlands.

The company has a long connection with dementia charities and was delighted to offer its support.

Lisa Franklin, a Chartered Legal Executive (Wills and Probate) led the distribution and said: “Care staff are without doubt some of society's unsung heroes.

"The roles they play in the wellbeing of our older generation, particularly those living with dementia are often above and beyond the call of duty.

"This year care staff everywhere have found themselves holding the hands of loved ones isolated from the world and yet still trying to bring joy and an enhancement of quality to life to residents, when there has been little hope outside of the care home walls.

"They care with such discretion and dignity and this is worthy of recognition and thanks."
