Celebrating 25 years of Lexcel!
After another successful reaccreditation process, Smith Partnership celebrates 25 years of being recognised by Lexcel!
Lexcel is the official quality mark for legal practice, recognised by The Law Society. It sets out a framework of best practices for a firm, covering all aspects of the operations from client care to people and financial management. Only firms who meet the highest standards in the independent assessment are awarded with the Lexcel accreditation.
Among some of the reasons we were praised for was our commitment to helping people within the community with Lexcel saying, “The founding partners’ ethos was to be rooted in their local communities and help people in need. Provision of legal aid services has been paramount, and although the firm now offers a wide range of services for individuals, litigation, business services and corporate and commercial work, helping people in their communities is their raison d’etre.”
They also commented on our dedication to supporting staff members, “Smiths have always looked after their people well, and people interviewed appreciated the support given to help balance home life, and any difficulties arising, with work life.” In particular, they commended us for recruiting “local young people, often via apprenticeship schemes and supporting them to achieve relevant qualifications and long-term careers with the firm.”
Our Managing Partner, Kevin McGrath talks about the significance of this achievement, “We were on of the first firms to achieve Lexcel accreditation and we have now held it continuously for 25 years. It is the most important recognition a firm can achieve. It demonstrates an unwavering commitment to providing a safe workplace for staff with access to all of the relevant training and support, a commitment to providing a high-quality service to every client who walks through the door and upholding a high level of SRA compliance.“
“I am really proud of the collective effort from the Smith Partnership team, maintaining the accreditation for 25 years requires a massive teamwork, and I know that they give it their all, day in day out.”
