Our Leicester branch strengthened across four practice areas

So far in 2026, Smith Partnership has welcomed six legal professionals to its Leicester office, based in the city centre on New Walk, strengthening services across four teams.

Michael Whelan joined the Private Client department as an Associate, bringing specialised experience in estate administration. He also assists colleagues in other aspects of probate law ranging from Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney, Inheritance Tax Planning and more. His extensive expertise continues to provide “excellent service” to the firm’s clients.

The Crime team welcomed three new recruits, Solicitor Muhammad Arslan, Paralegal Erina Gjeraj, and Legal Clerk Muhammad Issat. They are all great additions to the department, offering different levels of experience. Criminal law is an incredibly complex field that is constantly evolving, and strengthening the branch with new team members demonstrates the firm’s commitment to upkeep its strong reputation in the area.

Two Paralegals have joined the branch, offering comprehensive assistance to their respective departments. Abbie Titchener supports the Conveyancing department with her broad knowledge of property transactions and clear communication. Enrika Khaw helps the Contentious Trusts and Probate department on a wide range of disputes concerning Wills, estates, trusts and property ownership.

Della Phillips, Partner and Branch Manager, comments:

“We are excited to welcome Michael, Muhammad Arslan, Erina, Abbie, Enrika and Muhammad Issat to the Leicester team. They are all exceptional professionals that allow us to deliver the high standard legal service and client care across Leicestershire that we’re known for.”
