Our Burton Branch Raises £275 for Local Wildlife Charity

Located on the High Street, our office has raised £275 for the Linjoy Wildlife Sanctuary, a local charity providing 24-hour emergency rescue and rehabilitation service for British wildlife.

Based in Burton on Trent and Etwall, Linjoy Wildlife Sanctuary takes in injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife from across the Midlands and works hard to rehabilitate and return them to the wild wherever possible. The charity receives no government or corporate funding and relies entirely on public donations to continue its work.

The team took part in various fundraising activities that helped reach this amount. A significant event was our firm-wide quiz in May, raising more than £700. This total was equally divided between each of the firm’s five offices selected charity, with Burton’s share going to Linjoy Wildlife Sanctuary.

Charity champions Kayleigh Rushby and Tia Aitken organised additional activities to assist with fundraising, including a Valentine’s themed ‘Guess How Many Sweets’ jar in February, and the World Cup sweepstake in June.

Both Kayleigh and Tia say;

“We wanted to support a charity close to Burton and give back to the community we’re part of. By supporting a local charity, we were hoping to make a positive impact close to home, whilst helping in the lives of vulnerable wildlife in need. It’s a cause that reflects our values as a firm of compassion, responsibility and community, and we’re proud to have been able to contribute to an organisation making a difference locally.”

The Burton team hopes the donation will help support the sanctuary's ongoing efforts to care for sick and injured wildlife across the region.
